After the end of Week 2 RECON Gaming is in the top 3. Their opponent Nekst Gaming is right above them in 2nd. RECON Gaming will bring the pain come tonight when they once again will be playing de_forge.

Pre-Game Commentary
We got a quick pre-game overview of tonight's match-up with RECON Gaming team leader Scott "de7h" Rowden.

"We are very excited about tonight's match-up. We had played de_forge for the first time together and won 16-10 against kAs. Although it didn't count towards our record it was great practice. We felt we under performed despite our victory, so since our inferno match we have fine tuned everything we needed to and over the past week we all have felt very comfortable and extremely optimistic with how we are playing now. I can assure you the guys and I will be playing our hearts out tonight against Nekst Gaming. They are great guys, but competition is competition and we are hungry for this victory."

RECON Gaming started things out in similar fashion like last week winning their pistol and maintaining the lead throughout the first half. With key rounds by all of the members of RECON Gaming their momentum was held through all 15 rounds winning the half 12-3 in favor of them on CT side of de_forge. On T-Side they wrapped it up losing the first 2 rounds and immediately winning the next 4 round to beat Nekst Gaming 16-5. After that match-up RECON Gaming is now #1 in all of CEVO-A with a .CPI of over .96.

Playing away RECON Gaming felt right at home with SoL, showing the top seeded team that they are not going anywhere. With the complexity of RECON Gaming their t-side shined as they took 13 rounds first half in addition to Kei "bonzai" Kawaguchi's 10HP 1v1 clutch on the first round of the match. SoL tried to make a quick comeback, but thanks to the reliable teamwork of RECON Gaming they fell short losing 16-10 and making RECON Gaming 2-0 at the end of CEVO Week 2.

Post-Game Commentary
RECON Gaming was defeated 16-2 on de_nuke. We caught up with Scott "de7h" Rowden to find out what he thinks went wrong.

Still at this moment i'm trying to analyze our defeat. I mean we were playing on a Chicago server. Everyone's ping was 60-80 theirs was 20-30, I didn't think that was fair. We got a little carried away after winning the knife round. We felt confident if we went Terrorists first we could gain some rounds and finish them off on our server second half. Things didn't go well for us because of our high pings. We honestly couldn't execute properly without having some sort of lag in between. Not to say it's completely the pings fault that we lost. Dynamo Gaming is an extremely talented team and kept us to just 2 rounds we tried our hearts out and they just were the better team on Wednesday night. I tip my Toronto Blue jays hat off to them, they are very well rounded. Well it's time to shrug this horror off and start getting prepared for what's ahead of us.

CEVO Season 9 begins Week 1 with RECON Gaming facing off against Team Eradicate on de_nuke.

Pre-Game
With RECON Gaming going undefeated in CEVO Preseason they look to continue their momentum by defeating Team Eradicate. Team Eradicate is on a two game losing streak one of the defeats to kAs who RECON Gaming defeated last week. Look for RECON Gaming to continue their reign on CEVO-A and try and pull through in their first official week of competition.

Commentary
RECON Gaming leader Scott "de7h" Rowden had this to say about his team going into CEVO Week 1 match, "Our guys have been doing exceptionally well throughout this week, we know we are still growing as a team, but I can say with this group of guys it just feels like everything has blended so well. I couldn't have found a better group of players they all bring a sense of style and passion to this game that is typically unheard of in Western Counter-Strike teams. Tonight's match will be a test for our newest member of the squad Elliot "Bry" Bry he's mixed well with the others and I wish him and the rest of us the best of luck. One thing is certain though we must win our pistol rounds."

"One thing is certain though we must win our pistol rounds", with the impact of that statement the newest member of RECON Gaming Elliot "Bry" Bry showed Team Eradicate just how important winning that first round would be, dropping 3 kills in the first round gave RECON Gaming the first round. With the momentum and confidence in RECON Gaming it only got better as Scott "de7h" Rowden aced all 5 members of Team Eradicate outside boosting the teams momentum even more allowing RECON Gaming to take a strong lead first half at 12-3. The second half started out slow losing the pistol round and the following ecos, but once the guns came out RECON Gaming got back on track winning 4 and ending the match 16-8.

RECON Gaming has officially been accepted into the first season of ESL-America. With only 32 teams invited to play, RECON Gaming will play along side teams such as EG.ca and Sway Gaming. The team is excited to start competing on the next level and continue it's reign to become a top contender in eSports.
